Terroir & style
Located above the villages of Aloxe-Corton, Ladoix-Serrigny, and Pernand-Vergelesses, the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru covers about 52 hectares. On light marl-limestone soils full of stones, facing southwest to west, Chardonnay produces majestic, tense, and complex white wines. The color is pale gold with green highlights. The nose reveals intense aromas of candied lemon, ripe pear, fresh hazelnut, gunflint, and sometimes light honey. On the palate, Corton-Charlemagne impresses with its crystalline density, sharp minerality, and extraordinary length.

Food pairings
Perfect with refined dishes: grilled lobster, roasted turbot, Bresse chicken with cream sauce, or aged cheeses like Comté or Beaufort.

Good to know
Corton-Charlemagne is one of Burgundy’s greatest white wines. It has exceptional aging potential, often between 15 and 30 years, gaining complexity and depth over time.

Signature
Corton-Charlemagne embodies the mineral power of Chardonnay: intensity, dazzling freshness, and natural majesty.
