Domaine Bruno Clair, based in Marsannay, stands as one of the quiet yet essential pillars of the Côte de Nuits. A descendant of a prestigious Burgundian lineage, Bruno Clair founded his domaine in 1979 after having helped establish Domaine Clair-Daü, guided by a deep respect for the uniqueness of each terroir. Today, the estate comprises an outstanding mosaic of parcels, stretching from Marsannay to Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey, Chambolle, Vosne and even Corton. The viticulture is attentive and respectful, close to organic in practice, with a thoughtful and minimal use of treatments. In the cellar, vinifications are slow, low-intervention and restrained, with extended aging in mostly older barrels. The Bruno Clair style is marked by purity, inner depth and a quiet power that reveals itself over time. The wines are precise and vibrant, offering an honest translation of their origin without ever forcing the expression.
