Domaine Ganevat is one of the Jura’s most iconic producers, known for extreme precision, vibrant purity and a deeply sensitive interpretation of both traditional and forgotten local varieties. Based in Rotalier, on red, grey and blue marl with limestone scree, the domaine is farmed biodynamically and vinified with meticulous detail. The whites, often aged for extended periods, display complex aromas of ripe citrus, yellow apple, white flowers, warm stone and, depending on the cuvée, subtle walnut or sous voile character. The palate is tense, saline, expansive and finely chiselled. The reds (trousseau, poulsard, pinot noir) are delicate, with notes of cherry, wild strawberry, light spice and a highly airy texture. Ganevat’s hallmark is a combination of energy, purity and depth that has made it a cornerstone of the modern Jura.
