La Romanée-Conti is the most iconic Grand Cru in Burgundy, a 1.81-hectare monopole in the heart of Vosne-Romanée. It is planted exclusively with Pinot Noir on fine, gravelly brown clay-limestone soils with perfect eastern exposure. This legendary terroir produces a wine of unmatched intensity and grace. The color is deep ruby. The nose is breathtakingly complex: wilted rose, cherry, sweet spices, incense, black tea, and truffle. On the palate, it is silky, subtly powerful, perfectly balanced, with an ethereal, nearly endless finish. This is a wine for contemplation, beyond comparison.
