On deep brown clay-limestone soils, with south and southeast exposures, Pinot Noir produces powerful, structured, and complex red wines. The color is deep garnet. The nose is dominated by ripe black fruits, licorice, forest floor, and sometimes a touch of leather. On the palate, Corton impresses with its robust structure, mineral depth, and outstanding aging capacity.

Food pairings
Corton pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, game in sauce, wild boar stew, and strong cheeses like Ami du Chambertin.

Good to know
Corton is the only red Grand Cru of the Côte de Beaune. It also includes rare parcels of white wine under the Corton blanc appellation. Its longevity is legendary, often exceeding 30 years in great vintages.

Signature
Corton represents the majestic strength of Burgundian Pinot Noir: power, depth, and noble rusticity.
