Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is one of Pauillac’s most refined and seductive estates, defined by a rare combination of power, softness and floral elegance. Located on deep gravel mixed with clay, close to the Saint Julien border, the vineyard benefits from a slightly gentler terroir than the Pauillac average, giving the wines a velvety texture and exceptional aromatic finesse. Pichon Comtesse’s style is marked by alluring aromas of pure blackcurrant, silky blackberry, black raspberry, violet, peony, gentle tobacco, fine cedar, delicate spices and at times dark chocolate or black tea. The palate is broad yet silky, carried by noble, fine and perfectly integrated tannins. The finish is long and harmonious, with the refined sweetness that has become the estate’s signature. With age, the wine gains floral, spicy and balsamic complexity, enhancing its natural charm.
