Chavy-Chouet is a family-run estate based in Meursault in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Since 2006 it has been led by Romaric Chavy and is the result of the merging of vineyard holdings from the Chavy and Chouet families both deeply rooted in Burgundy. The estate covers around fifteen hectares with parcels in Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Volnay, Pommard, and even some in Aloxe-Corton and Monthélie. The vineyards are farmed with care using sustainable methods with no herbicides or insecticides. Vinification is low intervention with natural fermentations using native yeasts and aging in mostly older barrels. The white wines are noted for their purity tension and energy while the reds show finesse bright fruit and drinkability. The Chavy-Chouet style aims for elegance balance and clear expression of terroir.
