Domaine Marquis d’Angerville is one of the great names of Volnay and a historic benchmark of the Côte de Beaune. The estate’s modern identity was shaped in the early twentieth century by Marquis Sem d’Angerville, who championed precise viticulture and the honest expression of terroir. His legacy is now carried forward by Guillaume d’Angerville, who upholds the same rigorous standards and deep respect for the living environment. The vineyard extends over fourteen hectares almost entirely within Volnay, including exceptional parcels such as Clos des Ducs, one of Burgundy’s most celebrated monopoles. Viticulture is based on close observation of soil and vine balance, and the domaine has been committed to organic farming for many years. In the cellar, winemaking is gentle and minimally interventionist, with controlled extraction and carefully judged ageing. The wines of Domaine Marquis d’Angerville are admired for their purity, finesse and intensity, offering a luminous interpretation of Volnay’s finest red terroirs.
