Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, located on the iconic La Crau plateau of Châteauneuf du Pape, is one of the appellation’s historic and stylistic cornerstones. Managed by the Brunier family for over a century, the estate benefits from a unique terroir of galets roulés over deep clay limestone soils, producing grenache of remarkable intensity, linearity and salinity. The wines show sour cherry, raspberry, garrigue, thyme, warm stone, white pepper and occasionally an iodized or blood like note. The palate is structured, broad and energetic, with firm but refined tannins and a pronounced mineral freshness. It is a classical, noble, ageworthy Châteauneuf style that develops significant depth over decades. Vieux Télégraphe represents the traditional, honest and terroir driven expression of La Crau.
