Champagne Agrapart, based in Avize on the Côte des Blancs, is one of the most widely admired estates in Champagne for its purity, precision and mineral depth in chardonnay. Pascal Agrapart farms naturally, without herbicides or unnecessary inputs, with a near obsessive focus on the chalk soils that define the domaine’s identity. The vines are mostly old Grand Cru parcels from Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry. Fermentations are spontaneous, often in barrel, and élevage is long with minimal or zero dosage. The wines show ripe lemon, green apple, wet chalk, fresh hazelnut, white flowers and flint. The palate is linear, chiselled, saline and propelled by remarkable mineral energy with a fine, creamy texture. Cuvées such as Avizoise, Minéral and Vénus are benchmark bottlings. Agrapart’s style is luminous, tense and deep, among the most precise in Champagne.
