Exposures vary from south to northeast with shallow, well-drained clay-limestone and marl soils. Pinot Noir yields fine and supple reds with vivid ruby color. The nose reveals redcurrant, raspberry, dried rose, clove and forest floor. On the palate the wines are light-footed, delicate, with gentle tannins and lively tension. Chardonnay gives structured whites with lemon zest, white flowers and a clean mineral finish.

Food pairings
Reds pair beautifully with roasted spring chicken, warm pâté en croûte or braised pork cheek. Whites go well with creamy risotto, grilled sea bream or aged goat cheese.
