1928 was an exceptional vintage, austere in youth but with tremendous longevity. Spring was cool, followed by a hot and dry summer that enabled slow, full ripening. Reds are powerful, tight, highly structured with bright acidity and immense aging potential. Whites are precise, noble, still tense. A vintage of great architecture, often outlasting 1929 in the cellar.
