1926 was a hot, dry, and at times extreme vintage, producing powerful, concentrated wines—sometimes at the expense of balance. Spring was early, summer long and parched, with harvests often rushed due to drought. Reds are rich, high in alcohol, with massive structure that can verge on rusticity. Whites are ripe and dense, but often lack acidity. A solar vintage, impressive but uneven across regions.
