Château Angélus is one of the most prestigious estates in Saint Émilion and a true icon of Bordeaux’s right bank. Located on the southern slope of Saint Émilion, the château takes its name from the sound of church bells that once resonated across the surrounding vineyards. The de Boüard de Laforest family has overseen the estate for eight generations, guiding it to a level of global acclaim and excellence. The vineyard spans around forty hectares, planted mostly with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, grape varieties that achieve remarkable intensity on the estate’s clay limestone soils and ideally exposed slopes. In the cellar, winemaking is carried out with absolute precision, relying on parcel selection, gentle extraction and extended ageing to preserve depth, finesse and aromatic vibrancy. The wines of Château Angélus are distinguished by their breadth, silky texture, floral intensity and impressive ageing potential, offering cuvées that are powerful, harmonious and profoundly elegant.
