Terroir and style
Listrac Médoc is one of the highest appellations in the Médoc, set on a plateau of gravel, clay and limestone soils that bring power, freshness and firm structure. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon dominate, producing dark coloured wines with aromas of black fruits, violet, cedar and hints of forest floor. The palate is dense and linear with firm tannins and natural freshness leading to a long, slightly earthy finish. The style is traditional, serious and often austere in youth, yet capable of excellent ageing.
Food pairing
Listrac pairs well with roast meats, lamb dishes, slow cooked stews, grilled mushrooms and firm cheeses.
Good to know
Listrac’s relatively high elevation creates cooler nights that preserve acidity and give the wines their characteristic tension. Classic vintages age gracefully in bottle.
Signature
Listrac expresses Médoc purity with solid structure, freshness and deep aromatic character.
