La Tâche, one of Burgundy’s most iconic Grands Crus, is a monopole owned by Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Located in Vosne-Romanée, the vineyard lies on deep, well-drained clay-limestone soils and spans 6.06 hectares in a single block. Pinot Noir reaches a majestic expression here, combining depth, aromatic intensity, and powerful yet noble tannic structure. The color is dense, almost black in its youth. The nose offers aromas of black fruits, oriental spices, truffle, and forest floor. On the palate, La Tâche impresses with its density, mineral precision, phenomenal length, and extraordinary aging potential.
