Lacroix Triaulaire, based in Monthelon near Épernay, is a discreet family domaine that has become one of the most refined and sensitive voices of the Coteaux Sud d’Épernay. The vineyards, planted mainly to chardonnay and pinot noir on chalk rich soils with light clay, are farmed carefully and respectfully. Vinification relies on indigenous yeasts, either in tank or barrel depending on the cuvée, with low sulfur and minimal dosage to preserve purity and verticality. The wines show ripe lemon, fresh apple, white flowers, delicate yellow fruits, wet chalk and occasional subtle lactic or pastry notes. The palate is linear, precise and lifted, with fine bubbles, clear tension and a saline finish. The Lacroix Triaulaire style is pure, delicate and bright, a graceful artisanal expression of Monthelon.
