Sylvie Esmonin, heir to several generations of vignerons in Gevrey, took over the domaine in the 1990s and has shaped it according to her vision of precision, sincerity and deep respect for terroir. The vineyard covers around seven hectares across notable parcels in and around Gevrey Chambertin, including Les Clos, Les Jouises, Les Estournelles Saint Jacques and the famous Clos Saint Jacques through family cultivation rights. Viticulture is careful and minimally interventionist, focusing on soil vitality and balanced ripeness. In the cellar, winemaking is refined and often includes whole cluster fermentation, with élevage that uses a measured proportion of new oak to preserve energy, aromatic depth and structural clarity.
