Domaine Dugat-Py is one of the most iconic estates in Gevrey-Chambertin, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Established in the early 20th century, it is now run by Loïc Dugat-Py, the thirteenth generation of a family deeply rooted in Burgundy’s winemaking heritage. The 10-hectare vineyard includes some of the region’s most prestigious appellations, such as Gevrey-Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin, and Chapelle-Chambertin. Farming is organic and biodynamic in spirit, focusing on respect for the vine and the soil, with extremely low yields to enhance concentration and terroir character. In the cellar, winemaking follows a natural approach with gentle, extended extractions and ageing in new oak barrels, producing wines of great depth and longevity. The wines of Domaine Dugat-Py are renowned for their power, aromatic intensity, and structure, yet retain remarkable precision and energy, offering a pure and timeless expression of Gevrey-Chambertin’s grand terroirs.
