Domaine M. Perron, located in Grozon in the Revermont, has quickly become one of the most precise and sensitive voices of the Jura’s new generation. Working on grey, blue and yellow marls along with pockets of limestone scree, the domaine produces wines of great purity with a focus on natural balance and quiet fruit expression. The whites, from chardonnay and savagnin, show clean citrus, white apple, light florals and wet stone, with a tense, saline, linear palate. The savagnins display extra depth with dried herbs, citrus zest and very subtle waxy nuances. The reds, from trousseau, pinot noir or poulsard, are delicate and aromatic, featuring fresh cherry, peony, gentle spice and a fluid, highly drinkable texture. M.
