Sélèque, based in Pierry in the Vallée de la Marne, is one of the most dynamic and creative domaines of the new Champagne generation. Jean Marc Sélèque farms biodynamically, with meticulous attention to soils, natural balance and parcel expression. The vineyards span Pierry, Moussy, Épernay, Dizy and Boursault, on a mosaic of chalk, clay and sand, giving impressive aromatic diversity. Vinification uses indigenous yeasts in tank, barrel and foudre, with careful oak use, low sulfur and low dosage. The wines show pear, ripe apple, lemon, yellow fruits, white flowers, light brioche and occasional soft spice or wet chalk. The palate is pure, broad and lively, with fine bubbles, vertical energy and a long, mouthwatering finish. Sélèque’s style is precise, bright, expressive and built on balance and freshness.
