Château Latour stands as one of the absolute pinnacles of the Médoc, defined by a unique combination of power, precision and profound mineral depth. Located at the southern end of Pauillac on deep gravel mounds mixed with clay over an iron rich subsoil, the vineyard benefits from exceptional terroir stability, allowing cabernet sauvignon to ripen fully even in challenging years. Latour’s style is unmistakable: dense, precise aromas of blackcurrant, deep blackberry, cedar, graphite, noble tobacco, dark truffle and sometimes fine leather or warm stone. The palate is massive yet perfectly coherent, driven by powerful, tightly knit tannins of exemplary straightness. The finish is long, monumental, nearly indestructible. With age, Latour develops an almost bottomless complexity, combining calm intensity, austere nobility and unrivalled depth. It is a wine of structure, contained force and endurance, a true monument of the Médoc.
