2007

Vintage & Style
2007 was an unusual vintage: early, cool and delicate. After a very early spring, summer was erratic, and ripening slowed during a cool August. A return of good weather in September helped rescue quality in the best areas. Reds are light, fresh, best enjoyed young. Whites are more successful, taut, aromatic and focused.

A return of good weather in September helped rescue quality in the best areas. Reds are light, fresh, best enjoyed young. Whites are more successful, taut, aromatic and focused.

By Region
Burgundy: light, elegant reds; excellent focused and fresh whites
Bordeaux: difficult year, better success on the Right Bank
Rhône Valley: fine and delicate north, more variable and soft south
Loire: excellent dry whites, light and bright reds
Alsace: strong year for riesling, dry and drinkable styles
Champagne: early harvest, bright acidity, clean base wines

Worth Noting
2007 favors freshness and finesse over power. While reds are for early enjoyment, whites stand out for their clarity and energy.

Signature
2007 reflects graceful lightness: honest, vibrant, chiselled wines where freshness takes precedence over weight.
