Domaine Benetière, based in Condrieu, is a discreet yet highly respected northern Rhône estate known for producing some of the most precise and pure viognier in the appellation. Working on steep granite terraces, the domaine focuses on freshness, tension and aromatic restraint rather than opulence. The wines display delicate notes of fresh apricot, white peach, orange blossom, light honey and warm stone. The palate is linear and saline, driven by fine mineral energy that sets it apart from richer, heavier styles of Condrieu. With age, the wines gain depth and complexity. Benetière represents a refined, crystalline and granite driven interpretation of Condrieu.
