Domaine Yvon Clerget is one of the historic estates of Volnay, with the Clerget family established in the village for several centuries. After a quieter period, the domaine experienced a remarkable revival when Thibaud Clerget took over in 2015, bringing a modern, precise and deeply terroir focused vision. The vineyard covers about six hectares, primarily in Volnay and Pommard, including notable parcels such as Volnay Premier Cru Les Santenots, Les Caillerets and Pommard Les Rugiens. Viticulture is meticulous, guided by natural balance and a desire to express the finesse and energy characteristic of the finest Pinot Noirs from the Côte de Beaune. In the cellar, winemaking is gentle, patient and minimally interventionist, with measured use of oak to preserve purity, tension and aromatic depth.
