The soils are brown, clay-limestone, cooler and stonier, producing wines with a nervy, wild character. The color is dark garnet. The nose reveals intense aromas of blackberry, morello cherry, forest floor, and black pepper. On the palate, Corton-Renardes is robust, concentrated, with powerful tannins and a vibrant, mineral-driven finish.

Food pairings
