Terroir and style
Châteauneuf du Pape is rooted in one of the Rhône Valley’s most iconic mosaics of soils: rolled pebbles, sand, safre, red clay and limestone. These warm, radiant terroirs allow grapes to reach exceptional ripeness. The reds, often Grenache led, show aromas of black fruit, kirsch, garrigue, sweet spice, cacao and hints of leather. The palate is generous, rich and structured with warm depth and firm, ripe tannins. The rarer whites reveal white flowers, yellow fruit, light honey and a velvety texture. The overall style is powerful, expressive and intensely aromatic.

Food pairing
Châteauneuf du Pape pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, slow cooked meats, game, Provençal herb dishes, aged cheeses and moderately spicy cuisine.

Good to know
Châteauneuf du Pape was France’s first officially recognized appellation in 1936. The mistral wind plays a key role, keeping vines healthy and enhancing concentration.

Signature
Châteauneuf du Pape expresses Rhône generosity and spice with sun drenched power and depth.
