Château Brane Cantenac stands as one of the defining estates of Margaux, known for a style built on finesse, distinction and a deep understanding of its gravel terroir. The vineyard lies on some of the finest gravel rises in the appellation, soils that are light and highly draining, allowing cabernet sauvignon to ripen slowly and evenly. Vineyard management is meticulous yet never excessive, always seeking balance rather than power. The wines display remarkable aromatic elegance, with notes of blackcurrant, rose, violet leaf, cedar, blond tobacco and a refined minerality typical of the greatest Margaux terroirs. The palate is consistently silky with very fine tannins and a natural freshness that gives length, lift and depth. Brane Cantenac represents a classical and noble expression of Margaux where grace and purity outweigh strength.
