Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard is one of the leading estates of Chassagne-Montrachet, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Founded in the late 1980s by Richard Fontaine and Laurence Gagnard, from the renowned Gagnard-Delagrange family, the domaine continues a long tradition of excellence in crafting both white and red Burgundy wines. The vineyards cover around twelve hectares, mostly in Chassagne-Montrachet, with additional plots in Puligny-Montrachet and Volnay. Viticulture follows a sustainable approach, seeking balance between soil respect, fruit purity and terroir expression. In the cellar, winemaking is precise and controlled, with delicate oak use and long ageing to preserve the tension and finesse of Chardonnay.
