Terroir and style
Lirac sits on the right bank of the Rhône, facing Châteauneuf du Pape, with soils of rolled stones, sand, limestone and red clay. The warm climate is tempered by cooler plateaus, giving natural balance and lift. Reds, led by Grenache with Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault, show black fruit, ripe cherry, garrigue, sweet spice and hints of licorice or cocoa. The palate is full, supple and structured with generous warmth. Rosés are fresh and vibrant with crisp red fruit. Whites display white flowers, yellow fruit and subtle minerality. The overall style is sun drenched yet balanced, expressive and harmonious.

Food pairing
Lirac pairs beautifully with grilled meats, slow cooked dishes, Provençal recipes, roasted vegetables, aged cheeses and sauced fish.

Good to know
Lirac was one of the first recognized appellations of the Rhône Valley and is among the few crus producing all three colors. Though often compared to Châteauneuf du Pape, it shows slightly more freshness and gentler tannins.

Signature
Lirac expresses controlled southern richness with spice, harmony and generous character.
