Château Rayne Vigneau is one of the most elegant and luminous estates of Sauternes, defined by refined aromatic richness, pure botrytic expression and remarkable mineral freshness. The vineyard lies on an exceptional terroir of gravel mixed with sand over a subsoil rich in quartz and semi precious stones, a unique soil that gives sémillon and sauvignon blanc rare precision, tension and energy. Rayne Vigneau’s style is marked by aromas of roasted apricot, yellow peach, quince, candied mandarin, white flowers, saffron, delicate vanilla and sometimes a subtle note of white tea or warm stone. The palate is broad yet lifted, suave yet vibrant, built on pure sweetness and bright acidity that lengthens the wine without heaviness. The finish is long and crystalline, with subtle salinity and fresh brightness that balance the natural richness. With age, Rayne Vigneau develops acacia honey, beeswax, dried fruit, gentle spice and harmonious depth. It is an elegant, straight, luminous Sauternes that favours finesse over raw power.
