2016 is a vintage of contrasts, saved by a stunning second half of the year. After a very rainy spring, often with frost and hail, summer was hot, dry and long, allowing gradual and complete ripening. Harvest took place under excellent conditions. The reds combine ripeness and freshness, with elegant structure and pure fruit. The whites are precise, energetic, and full of tension.

By Region
Burgundy: frost in the north, hail in the south, but excellent final quality; refined reds, characterful whites
Bordeaux: classic vintage, great success, balanced and deep reds
Rhône Valley: sunny but balanced south, superb north with finesse and freshness
Loire: tricky season but beautiful chenins and cabernets
Alsace: low yields, high maturity, powerful and aromatic wines
Champagne: late harvest, ripe and complex base wines

Worth Noting
2016 rewarded patience and precision. Those who waited for full ripeness produced remarkable wines with great aging potential.

Signature
2016 reflects rebirth after adversity, with a rare balance of density and finesse, and a true expression of terroir and vintage.
