Louis Roederer, founded in 1776 in Reims, is one of Champagne’s most respected houses, celebrated for its family independence, viticultural excellence and deep, terroir driven style. With one of the largest estate owned vineyard holdings in Champagne, largely Premier and Grand Cru, Roederer prioritizes ripeness, precision and authenticity. Chardonnay, pinot noir and meunier are farmed biodynamically across numerous parcels, with strong parcel specific work. Vinification combines stainless steel, foudres and barrels, with partial indigenous yeast fermentations and long ageing. The wines show ripe lemon, yellow fruits, apple, brioche, white flowers, hazelnut and chalk. The palate is broad, tense and pure, with very fine bubbles, marked mineral depth and remarkable consistency. Roederer’s style is precise, noble and bright, balancing energy and elegance.
