Terroir & style
Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru covers about 41 hectares across over 20 climats located at the heart of the village, nestled between iconic Grands Crus to the north and south. The brown limestone soils, well-drained and east-facing, support consistent ripening of Pinot Noir. The wines show a deep ruby color. The nose is subtle and refined, with notes of black cherry, peony, licorice, and fresh truffle. On the palate, they combine finesse, structure, and depth with silky tannins and taut minerality. These wines age beautifully, often for 12 to 20 years. A few rare whites from Chardonnay are elegant and distinctly mineral.

Food pairings
Perfect with roasted pheasant, beef tenderloin, or truffled Brie.

Good to know
Notable climats include Les Millandes, Les Faconnières, La Riotte, and Les Chaffots — all close to Grand Cru level in quality.

Signature
Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru expresses a unique synthesis of depth, elegance, and mineral tension.
