Morey-Saint-Denis is a Côte de Nuits appellation covering about 146 hectares at the village level, along with 41 hectares of Premier Crus and 41 hectares of Grands Crus. The soils are brown limestone, often very stony, well-drained, and east-facing. Pinot Noir here produces wines of remarkable complexity, combining the aromatic finesse of Chambolle-Musigny with the structured power of Gevrey-Chambertin. The color is deep ruby. The nose reveals black cherry, raspberry, licorice, and forest floor aromas. On the palate, Morey-Saint-Denis offers density, elegance, and fine tannins, with great aging potential (15 to 25 years). The rare whites made from Chardonnay are fresh and mineral-driven.

Food pairings
Perfect with roasted partridge, grilled beef, or aged Brie.

Good to know
The appellation is home to five legendary Grands Crus: Clos de Tart, Clos des Lambrays, Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, and part of Bonnes-Mares.

Signature
Morey-Saint-Denis embodies the perfect balance between aromatic elegance, controlled power, and racy depth.
