1945 is a legendary vintage, steeped in history, with extremely low yields and perfect ripeness in many regions. After a tough spring, summer was hot and dry, leading to very concentrated grapes. Reds are intense, deep, powerful, and superbly structured. Whites are rare but expressive. A vintage of character and depth, considered one of the greatest of the century—especially in Bordeaux.
