It covers about 213 hectares at the village level, plus 98 hectares of Premier Cru, and includes significant parts of legendary Grands Crus such as Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet. The soils are stony, lean, and highly calcareous, with eastern and southeastern exposure. Chardonnay here reaches unparalleled levels of precision and purity. The wines are pale gold in color, with aromas of hawthorn, hazelnut, fresh butter, and wet stone. On the palate, they are taut, mineral, and elegant, with great depth and long aging potential.

Food pairings
Excellent with roasted turbot, chicken with morels, or firm cooked cheeses.
