The nose offers black cherry, cassis, licorice, leather, and truffle. On the palate, Nuits-Saint-Georges shows power, firm yet ripe tannins, and a long, persistent finish. Whites are rare, tense, mineral, and precise.

Perfect with game birds, roast duck, or aged Époisses cheese.
Good to know
There are no Grands Crus in the appellation, but many highly regarded Premier Crus such as Les Saint-Georges, Les Vaucrains, and Les Cailles. Les Saint-Georges is under consideration for future Grand Cru status.
